An Evening With Mitch Albom

This past week on Tuesday, September 17th close to 350 of our community gathered to welcome international best selling author Mitch Albom. The evening started with a beautiful cocktail dinnatoire catered and served by our member Stephanie Cabral for the VIP’s where the participants had a chance to meet and greet with Mitch Albom. The main event began with stirring prayers from our very own Cantor Yossi Fleishman and greetings from Rabbi Asher Jacobson.
Our President Aaron Bloom Mc’ed the event. Roslyn Margles the generous sponsor of this event introduced the speaker. Mitch Albom presented a deeply moving presentation supported by an interactive power point on his newly released book The Little Liar, this was followed by a fire side chat with Rabbi Jacobson that was filled with the authors personal experiences growing up as a Jew and Mitch Albom’s view on the current situation in Israel. Cheryl Sokoloff closed the evening with a special thank you and presentation to Mitch Albom and Roslyn Margles.
The night was filled with deep humor and emotion. At the end of the presentation all the guests were invited to a dessert reception in the Singerman Hall where Mitch Albom was gracious enough to meet all of the guests and sign more books.
